Today I ordered plugs, front/rear sprocket, chain, air filter and taillight assembly.I do not have a car in Sicily and this has been my vehicle everyday for 3 years.My Nighthawk has served me well. It is near impossible to imagine I will next be riding it in Tennessee. I really can not stand the thought of being without my bike for the next 3 months as it goes on the boat with all of our belongings back to the US.Three years and 10,000 miles later, I am very sad to say I only have 4 days of riding left before my bike ships back to the United States.

Thoughts

An hour of sleep before midnight is worth two, and an hour of work before noon is worth two. Always pick your kids up from school. That’s when they want to talk. Never let your skill exceed your virtue. Never take less than two weeks off when you have a child or for your honeymoon. Don’t let them talk you down. When you mess up, admit it frankly and quickly, and move on. Always do your very best in your job, but if you don’t like what you’re doing enough that you would do it for free, quit. (This seems extreme, but at the same time mentally liberating.)

Poughkeepsie

Speaking of home.  Barney in “How I Met Your Mother” used “Poughkeepsie” in a recent episode twice.  Legen….dary.

Maybe I should rethink Western Vermont (although Saratoga is west of VT). New Hampshire.  Not on my radar until now.  But if I am headed east, might as well go all the way to the Atlantic.
